SUMMARY:Respiratory Protection During Disaster Response
DESCRIPTION:Hazard and Risk Assessment\, Respiratory Protection During Disaster Response and Cleanup \nOverview: \n“When disaster strikes\, confusion and indecision often take place when we React instead of Proact”  We need to ask what my agency’s capabilities are during the first 100 hours of a disaster. Regulatory compliance needs to be in practice before the disaster occurs to be able to safeguard your employee’s safety and health. It is hard to play catch up when the incident is happening all around you. \nDisaster risk assessments include: the identification of hazards; a review of the safety and health hazards workers may encounter and reassess if conditions change. We then list responder responsibilities\,  Fire\, Police\, EMS\, and Public Works. Facilities Services and Public Works were officially added as First Responders in 2005 by the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). They have responsibility under the National Response Framework’s Emergency Support Functions (ESFs)(3) to provide support\, resources\, program implementation\, and services that are needed to save lives\, protect property and the environment\, restore essential services. \nThis webinar will discuss site safety\, including respiratory risks\, how to select and safely use appropriate respiratory protection \, PPE\, and decontamination procedures. \nSpeaker: \nSponsored by Honeywell\, Zappos at Work \nRegister Today at: \nhttps://1105tech.com/portal/wts/uc%5EcmQecevyqecfw0a%7C0rhqe%7Ctr0-%5BbAB%7EnOB%7CzYg3d
