SUMMARY:OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety & Health Course
DESCRIPTION:Two day class – 5 hours each July 11 and July 12\, 2023.   \nThe OSHA Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition\, avoidance\, abatement\, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the construction industry. The program also provides information regarding workers’ rights\, employer responsibilities\, and how to file a complaint. The 10-hour class is intended for entry level workers\, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. SUMMARY:Outdoor and Indoor Heat-Related Hazards in Construction: A Q&A Session on OSHA’s National Emphasis Program
DESCRIPTION:In April 2022\, OSHA began a National Emphasis Program (NEP) aimed at protecting employees from heat-related hazards and resulting injuries and illnesses in outdoor and indoor workplaces. Since construction workers are among those with a high risk of heat exposure\, CPWR has invited a representative of OSHA’s Directorate of Enforcement to answer the top questions about the NEP.
