SUMMARY:Free Webinar: Developing a Heat Illness Prevention Program in Construction
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, June 26 at 1:00 p.m. ET (1 hour) \nIt’s heating up outside\, which means hotter working conditions for those in construction. According to OSHA\, employers are responsible for providing workplaces free of known safety and health hazards\, including heat-related hazards. The best way to prevent exposure to these hazards\, or at the very least\, to lessen the impact of heat and hot weather\, is to develop and enforce a Heat Illness Prevention (HIP) Program. CPWR has developed two checklists to assist with the development of an overall HIP program and its daily enforcement on each unique job site. On this webinar\, we will review these checklists and share some key background information on HIP planning before spending most of the hour in a focused Q&A discussion with our panel of experts\, including both researchers and representatives from labor and management.
