According to OSHA\, employers are responsible for providing workplaces free of known safety and health hazards\, including heat-related hazards. The best way to prevent exposure to these hazards\, or at the very least\, to lessen the impact of heat and hot weather\, is to develop and enforce a Heat Illness Prevention (HIP) Program. CPWR has developed two checklists to assist with the development of an overall HIP program and its daily enforcement on each unique job site.
