OSHA’s Outreach Training Program

Revised requirements for authorized trainers in OSHA’s Outreach Training Program will go into effect on April 1, 2019. Recent revisions by OSHA include eliminating the 90-day grace period after a trainer card expires and updating the Trainer Code of Conduct and trainer responsibilities. The agency intends the elimination of the grace period to encourage trainers to maintain their authorization and to reduce confusion regarding trainer authorization status. An updated document available on OSHA’s website reflects the new requirements. A record of changes on page iii of the document lists the other substantive changes.
