Formerly a print publication that cost $100 for non-members, Injury Facts is now an online tool that is free for everyone. It features interactive charts and infographics. NSC will be updating it regularly.
Injury Facts includes the following components: All Injuries, Motor Vehicle, Home and Community, Work, State Data, and International. The Work section is primarily based on BLS data but presents it in a more user-friendly, interactive way. The Work section includes information on fatality trends, injury causes, industry incidence and rates, how to benchmark, industry profiles, and workplace injury cost. It also includes sections on specific workplace safety topics, including overexertion and bodily reaction, falls, contact with object and equipment, roadway and non-roadway incidents, pedestrian vehicle incidents, fatigue, forklifts, assaults, and exposure to harmful substances and environments.
