Care Starts Here! Mental Health First Aid Training
Date: Wednesday, February 11, 2026 l 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
This is an eight-hour course: two hours of self-paced preparation and six hours of class time. Once everyone is registered, the Graham Company will send instructions on how to log in and complete your two-hour prep work. These materials will be available two weeks prior to the class.

Member Cost: $350 pp / includes training materials, light breakfast, lunch, and on-street free parking.
Non-member Cost: $450 pp / includes training materials, light breakfast, lunch, and on-street free parking.
Program Description
This interactive session will equip you with practical, real-world tools to recognize the signs of mental health challenges, respond confidently during crisis situations, and support others with knowledge and compassion. You’ll build mental health literacy, gain confidence to take action, and help reduce stigma, leaving you better prepared to guide individuals toward professional help and foster a safer, more supportive community.
All participants will receive a participant processing guide and certificate of completion from the National Council on Mental Wellbeing.
Course Agenda
1.What is Mental Health First Aid?
• Understanding and learning to apply the ALGEE Mental Health First Aid Action Plan
2. Role as a Mental Health First Aider
• Learning how to be the first line of support to someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis
3. Crisis & Non-Crisis First Aid
• Identifying crisis and non-crisis situations while applying the Mental Health First Aid Action plan (ALGEE)
4. Understanding Signs & Symptoms
• Learning to identify early and worsening signs and symptoms of mental health challenges
5. Self-care
• Learning how to develop a self-care plan following the application of Mental Health First Aid in a crisis or non-crisis situation
