Hearing Protection: Measuring Noise and Selecting Hearing Protection

This webinar will cover measuring noise using sound level meters, phone apps, and dosimetry and considerations and requirements for selection and use of hearing protection. Understanding noise measurement is important for assessing worker noise exposures and selecting hearing protection. Considerations for the selection of hearing protection includes adequate noise reduction ratings, comfort and worker acceptance and use.
Hearing conservation programs, training, medical surveillance are all required and important to ensure that hearing protection is used correctly and effective.
