MACSC Foundation Safety Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Criteria (Academic)

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
MACSC BACKGROUND

The Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Council (MACSC) is a group of like-minded construction safety professionals dedicated to the protection of life and property in the construction industry. Our efforts are directed towards, but not limited to: sharing safety information for our mutual benefits, fostering safety awareness, standardizing safety practices, encouraging cooperation and open communications, providing a resource of knowledge, experience and information and assisting contractors with implementing and maintaining safe work practices.

The MACSC Foundation is sponsoring multiple $1000 - $5000 CASH AWARD scholarships for an undergraduate or graduate student studying to be a safety or industrial hygiene professional. The scholarships are offered once each academic year to a student meeting the eligibility criteria listed below. The award is written directly to the individual winners to be used to help defray the cost of credits, books, and other costs incurred while in pursuit of a degree. Council has the right to require proof of registration/enrollment/document of indented course cost.

The goal of the MACSC Foundation is to encourage students to live and work within Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New Castle County (DE), the New York City area, and Northern Maryland, with the hope that recipients will build their careers in the Philadelphia region after graduation.

All eligible undergraduate and graduate students, as outlined in the criteria below, are strongly encouraged to apply. There are no “losers” in this process. Regardless of the outcome, submitting an application is a valuable opportunity to introduce yourself to fellow professionals in the safety field—and to allow them to get to know you.
